- Ask yes/no questions on your turn. "Am I alive?" "Am I in this room?" The table votes yes, no, or unsure. Keep asking while the answers are yes — a no passes the turn.
- Guess it. First to crack their word ranks highest, and every word gets revealed at the end, which is reliably the best moment of the round.
A host can also run the table game-show style — marking words solved, passing turns, picking who guesses next — which works great for streams or bigger groups.
What to write: word ideas that actually land
The game is only as good as the words, and words chosen for you by friends beat any preset deck:
- Inside jokes: the name of your group's most infamous story.
- People you know: your boss, someone's ex, the group chat's most-mentioned person.
- Absurdly specific objects: not "food" — "the last slice of pizza someone took without asking".
- Characters everyone knows: works across any group, good warm-up round.
Keep it guessable through yes/no questions — the fun is the slow dawning realization, not an impossible stump.
