No. GameBuddies connects to your Twitch chat read-only and anonymously — you type your channel name into the game lobby and the connection is live. Nothing joins your channel, nothing posts in your chat, no permissions are requested, and there is nothing to install.

Does my chat need GameBuddies accounts to participate?

No. Viewers participate by typing commands directly in your Twitch chat — !vote 2, !3, !answer Paris. They never leave Twitch, never open a link, and never create an account.

How do I keep stream snipers out of my room?

Create the room with Streamer Mode enabled — the room code is hidden from your stream overlay, and you invite the people you actually want via a private invite link instead.
