How to Play ThinkAlike
- Connect with your partner — Create a room and share the code with one friend — or several, if you want the pairs mode. Everyone plays from their own device in the browser; there is nothing to install.
- Read the prompt — You both see the same prompt on screen: a category, a concept, or an association challenge. The prompt is the only shared information you get, so read it the way you think YOUR partner would read it.
- Submit your word at the same time — Without talking, you both type and submit a single word. No peeking, no hints, no take-backs. The tension of hitting submit blind is the whole game.
- Match to win, miss to lose a life — If both words match, you win instantly. If they do not, you lose one of 5 shared lives — and, crucially, you now know what your partner answered, which becomes your compass for the next prompt.
- Converge before the lives run out — Each failed round gives you more information about how your partner thinks. Good pairs use the misses to steer toward each other. Sync up before the fifth miss and celebrate; run dry and start over.
