Last Brain Standing — Answer trivia, vote out the worst, survive with three lives

Last Brain Standing is a quiz and voting party game for 4+ players where the goal is simple: be the last player with a life left. A trivia question appears, everyone gives a verbal answer, and then the group votes on who gave the worst response. The player with the most votes loses one of their three lives. What makes it different from a normal quiz is that knowledge alone does not save you: a confident wrong answer that makes the group laugh can survive a round, while a technically-correct but boring one can get voted out. It plays like a mix of a pub quiz and a courtroom, and a full game runs about 15-25 minutes in your browser with no download.

Last Brain Standing is a free online party game for 4+ players — no download, no sign-up. It runs in any browser on desktop, tablet, or mobile.

How to Play Last Brain Standing

  1. Set up the room — One player creates a room and shares the 6-character room code. Everyone else joins from their own device — phone, tablet or computer — with no download or account. You need at least 4 players for the voting to work.
  2. Answer the question — A trivia question appears on every screen at the same time. Give your answer out loud before time runs out. Speaking is the point: the group needs to hear your answer (and your confidence, or lack of it) to judge it in the next step.
  3. Vote on the worst answer — After everyone has answered, each player votes on who gave the worst response. Worst does not have to mean most wrong — hesitation, wild guesses and overconfident nonsense are all fair targets. The player with the most votes loses a life.
  4. Defend yourself — Before and during the vote there is room to argue. If your answer was shaky, this is where you talk the group into believing someone else was worse. Table-talk is not a bug — it is most of the game.
  5. Survive to the end — Everyone starts with 3 lives. Lose all three and you are out, but eliminated players stay in the room and keep voting, so nobody sits in silence. The last player holding a life wins.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a knowledge quiz or a social game?

The questions are trivia, but the voting is social. You can give a wrong answer and still survive if you convince the group someone else did worse.

How long does a game take?

A typical game runs 15-25 minutes depending on player count and how long debates last.

Can I play on mobile?

Last Brain Standing works on mobile browsers. Make sure you have a stable connection.

How many players do I need?

At least 4 — with fewer, the voting has no room to breathe. It scales up well: bigger groups mean livelier debates and more scapegoats when your answer flops.

Is Last Brain Standing free?

Yes. Like every game on GameBuddies.io it is free to play in your browser: create a room, share the code, and start. No download and no account required.

What happens when I lose all my lives?

You are out of the running, but not out of the game — eliminated players stay in the room and keep voting on every round, which keeps the endgame fair and the peanut gallery loud.

Playing alone right now? Last Brain Standing needs 4+ players — start with BlindSpot, ThinkAlike or Zoomies instead: they play great with just 2 players or solo with bots.
