Meet Golem Overdrive — 3D Parkour Racing on GameBuddies.io
By GameBuddies Team — 2026-07-14
Run. Jump. Fly.
We just shipped Golem Overdrive — a 3D parkour racing game on GameBuddies.io, and it's unlike anything else on the platform. You play a chunky neon golem with genuinely deep movement: sprint, double-tap to dash, chain jumps, double-jumps and wall-jumps, and vault over ledges — all physics-driven, all skill-based. It runs free in your browser: share a room link, and you're racing in seconds.
Race Mode — First Golem to the Finish
Everyone runs the same checkpoint course at the same time. You see your friends' golems live beside you as you dash through glowing checkpoint rings toward the finish. Placement earns points, courses rotate every round, and after 1, 3 or 5 rounds the golem with the most points takes the crown. Six courses ship at launch — from the beginner-friendly Golem Circuit to the vertical nightmare that is Sky Spire.
Playground Mode — No Timer, Just Vibes
Not every session needs a scoreboard. Playground mode drops everyone into an open parkour map to run, climb and show off — and there's a toss ball: pick it up, and throw it to a friend. Passes inherit your momentum, so a full-sprint throw actually leads the runner. Great for hanging out on voice chat between races.
Make It Yours
Before each run you pick your golem in the 3D garage: six preset bodies — Ember, Frost, Moss, Void, Titan and Striker — or hit the randomizer for something entirely your own. Everyone sees your golem in the race. There are four world styles too, from neon night skies with a colossal ringed moon to a blood-red eclipse.
Big Screen Ready
Got a TV? Start a room in Big Screen mode and the television becomes a live spectator view — an overhead camera that follows the whole pack with name tags, while everyone plays on their own machine. Perfect for couch race nights.
It's a Prototype — You Decide Where It Goes
Honest version: Golem Overdrive is a prototype. The movement feels great and racing your friends is already a blast, but we genuinely don't know where to take this project yet — more courses? New modes? Something completely different? That's where you come in: we're wide open for feedback and ideas.
Three ways to reach us: hop into our Discord, hit the big gold Feedback & Ideas button right in the game, or use the contact options on gamebuddies.io. Every idea gets read.
