Bad Actor is a social deduction game built around word association for 3-8 players. Everyone except the imposter receives the same secret word. You take turns giving one-word clues that relate to the word without giving it away. In Classic mode, the imposter knows their role but has no word. In Hidden mode, the imposter gets a different word and does not know they are the odd one out. In Truth mode, players answer questions out loud — the imposter must answer without knowing the actual question, making blending in even harder. After clue rounds, a 60-second discussion and vote decides who gets accused.

How to Play Bad Actor

Join the room — Create or join a room with 3-8 players.
Receive your word (or not) — All players except the imposter receive the same secret word. In Classic mode, the imposter knows their role but has no word. In Hidden mode, the imposter gets a different word and does not know they are it.
Give one-word clues in 30-second turns — On your turn, you have 30 seconds to say a single word that relates to the secret word without revealing it. The imposter has to bluff.
Truth mode: answer questions blind — In Truth mode, players answer questions out loud. The imposter does not see the actual question and must fake a convincing answer based on the reactions of others.
Vote to find the bad actor — After all turns, you get 60 seconds to discuss and vote. Accuse who you think is faking it.
Reveal and score — The imposter is revealed. Innocents score if they catch the imposter. The imposter scores if they dodge the vote.
